Russian national operator Rostelecom has expanded the coverage of its fibre-optic network in the Kirov region. More than 4,000 additional households living in apartment houses and private residences have been covered in the city of Kirov, in the towns of Yaransk and Sovetsk, as well as in the villages of Kolos, Mirniy, Orichi, Ilyinskoye and Kstinino.
Customers are able to use broadband at up to 200 Mbps and to watch more than 260 IPTV channels there, as well as access the Smart Home system.
The operator has deployed around 20 kilometres of fibre-optic lines in the region within the past three months. Rostelecom plans to cover 1,400 additional households in the Orichi municipality by the end of this year.
